The Health Alliance Department of Public Safety Bike Patrol Unit consists of seven bike officers,
and is equipped with two (2) Trek Mountain Bikes. Each officer is required to complete a detailed eight (8) hour department
in-service training along with a few other departmental criteria before becoming eligible to join the bike unit. The bike
patrol gives our officers the ability to maintain a higher visibility on the property, and cover a greater area, otherwise
difficult to cover by foot or motor vehicle in the same amount of time. The bike patrol also strengthens the relationship
between the officers and associates by adding to the personal interaction you may lose from only a motor vehicle patrol. The
goal of the bike patrol unit is to give a greater public safety presence, to assist in deterring any occurrences of criminal
activity on the property and better assist our associates with their public safety needs.
